Hoyt C. Woods, 63, died March 4, 2010, of cancer. He was past chairman of the Veterans Council of Martin County Inc. and the first and founding president of Southeast Honor Flight, which provides free flights to veterans of WWII to the new WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C.
